What exactly does back-translation catch that a normal revision doesn’t?
A normal revision checks the translation against the source in the target language. Back-translation renders the approved translation back into the source language independently, so a discrepancy shows up as a difference between two English (or two Spanish) texts — often easier to spot than in a side-by-side bilingual check.
Do you handle patient-identifiable data?
We can, with redaction or pseudonymisation on request before translation begins — tell us at order time and we’ll agree the approach before we open the file.
Is this translation valid for a regulatory submission on its own?
The translation itself doesn’t constitute regulatory advice or a submission — it’s the linguistic component. If your submission specifically requires a sworn or certified translation, add that separately.
Why is back-translation only offered here and not on every service?
Because it’s the one category where the cost of an error is irreversible in a way a contract typo or a marketing headline isn’t. Offering it everywhere would make it a marketing claim; offering it precisely here is a judgement about where it’s actually worth the extra cost.
